Defenders of Dwaca - Prototype!

Join the fight to reclaim the Kingdom of Dwaca!

This 2D Extraction APRG is inspired by APRGs such as Diablo, Path of Exile with a twist of Vampire Survivors and Dark and Darker. Designed for the Mobile platforms, it is made to be played in bitesize pieces, Defenders of Dwaca promises quick action packed bursts of fun in each arena round.

Strategize your plan by choosing the right hero for your playstyle, then customize your Spell Slots with a multitude of available Spells, each with their own strengths and weaknesses!

Collect Spells from the Library of Magic, buy Spell Scrolls with Gold that you loot from the arena to build your arsenal of Spell!

Collect Weapons from Equipment Chests, buy Chests from the Armory and see what powerful treasures you find!

Hire new and powerful heroes, each with their own talent that can bring new playstyles into the battlefield!

About the studio

Raincloud Studio is a 1 person indie studio made by DwacaDev. I started this studio to create games, and to carve a niche in the games industry.

Defenders of Dwaca is my first foray into game development as an indie dev, I hire development studios to help with the heavy lifting in terms of coding and development, then I go in an brush things up to my liking!

Defenders of Dwaca

The game was first conceptualized some time in February 2024, I spent around 4 months designing the game mechanics and running it through to try to make it fun.

Development really only started in July, as I needed to save up what tiny budget I can for the vendors to help build the prototype. All in all, it was slower than expected and there are many hiccups, but the end result was close enough that I could grind out the final few bits of polishing before bringing it to you guys here, on itch.io!

I've reached a point where I can say the base prototype is done. There are many, many, many features I would love to include but it will take more time and funds, so I'm afraid progress will slow down from here on in. I am planning to continue working on this game to bring it to Early Access eventually!

Feedback and Community

I would love to hear any feedback you might have, good, bad, ugly. Anything would be good!

Many of my future features have been planned and designed, but I'd like to keep options open to see what can be improved, added, or removed.

I'd also love to build a community where we can discuss all sorts of game design conundrums, retrospectives and future updates for Defenders of Dwaca!
